Envisioning Art Through Pottery

In  In the Envisioning Art Through Pottery workshop series, local fourth through eighth grade students learned pottery fundamentals from art teachers and Link members Kimberly Fontanez and Wimberly Yon.  During the final workshop, students practiced throwing pottery on the wheel and used coil and pinch pot techniques for hand-building. Their projects will be displayed at the Aiken Center for the Arts.

Artist Noir is a Southern Area initiative that hones students’ arts talent and development of technical and creative skills, provides mentoring with local artists, and provides exposure to the arts, different cultures, and community.
